Brooklyn: People and Places, Past and Present
Published in Hardcover by Abradale Press (November, 1997)
Average review score:

An heirloomIf you ever lived in Brooklyn or visited relatives there growing up, this book brings it all back to you. On the bottom of page 244, I was surprised to find a picture of my Grandma Josie, sitting in front of her house as she had throughout her life. Grandma is gone now . . . but she is forever immortalized in this book.

Canal Parks, Museums and Characters of the Mid-Atlantic
Published in Paperback by Wakefield Press (15 August, 1999)
Average review score:

A Must-Have for the Serious CanalerKate Mulligan's new book is a must for the glove compartment of all serious canal fans! She gives detailed descriptions of canal sites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Maryland, focusing not only on the places, but on the people, "the characters," who worked to make their parks a reality. Kate highlights sites along most of the 19th century canals in the three Mid-Atlantic states, describing their history and current events sponsored by each of the canal parks. The book includes related, noncanal places of interest, such as the Brunswick Railroad Museum, the Johnstown Flood Museum and the Eckley Miners' Village. A great gift for anyone who loves travel and the transportation history of the Mid-Atlantic.

Central Park
Published in Hardcover by Aperture (30 November, 1995)
Average review score:

Central View of "Central Park"Bruce Davidson's "Central Park" is a compelling look at one of the world's most unique urban places. Unlike "Brooklyn Gang" or "Portraits," Davidson shoots his subjects here with a wide-angle panoramic camera. The result is fascinating as the images meld odd angles, distorted bodies and expansive views, and at no point does it come across as cliched or gimmicky. Instead, the photographs are hopeful, intimate, and revealing. Davidson shows us some of the park's secret places, but mostly he has discovered, through his visual explorations, the secret of what makes Central Park an essential part of New York life.

Cheap Thrills New York
Published in Paperback by Vehicule Press (15 June, 2001)
Average review score:

Don't leave home without it!This is a restaurant guide for those of you looking for really good food with a wide variety of ethnic cuisine and without the ridiculously pompous nature of your typical five-star. If you go out to eat for the snooty service and to drop a bunch of money, don't buy this book. However, if your focus is on the quality and variety of the food you are eating, with fancy service as a secondary concern, this is the book for you. That is not to say the restaurants in this book lack decent service....Many have excellent service and swanky locals. Some may also have dismal decor and downright cranky staff (read hole-in-the-wall). But they all have great food in common. One of the great things about New York is experiencing the wide variety of flavors and cooking styles available in this melting pot. You won't find me in New York without this book close by.

Classic Rock Climbs No. 12: Ralph Stover State Park, Pennsylvania
Published in Paperback by Chockstone Pr (October, 1999)
Average review score:

Great, but not all inclusiveThis is a decent review of Ralph Stover as a climbing area. It covers all the standard climbs with decent information on the area and it's pretty easy to find the routes. However, there are areas not covered in the book (to the East and towards the river).

Classic Rock Climbs No. 26: McConnell's Mill State Park, Pennsylvania

Average review score:

Descriptive, Concise, ClassicThis small, descriptive guide is one of the best organized and written climbing guides I have seen, period. It has a perfect balance of diagrams and concise route descriptions. Since purchasing this book, I have discovered more routes and variations in the park than ever. Add this book to your pack today. Your friends and fellow climbers will fight you for it.

Country Roads of New Jersey
Published in Paperback by Country Roads Pr (March, 1994)
Average review score:

Like having a local tour guide in your carThis book is like having a local tour guide in your car. The text is conversational as it points out places to stop and historic trivia about the towns. Organized into twelve regions around the state, the detailed driving directions navigate you through the towns on local roads. Road names and route numbers are used as well as landmarks. Each chapter begins and ends with directions to the main highways. We were able to plan a trip that pleased adults, pre-teens and young children. It gives you the places to eat, sleep or shop that usually only locals know about.
plenty of variety to appeal to pretty much anyone about all sorts of brooklyn related stuff
highly enjoyable
